Losing track of your SMS messages can be frustrating. Luckily AIM Productions has a solution to that problem in SMS Cool! This software allows you sync your SMS messages with you home PC for just $10.

Using the application is simple. Just install and set up SMS Cool! on your home or work PC; no need for extra software on your Pocket PC. Once you’re set up and Active Sync is enabled you can sync all your SMS messages. Using the application on your PC, you can forward messages, reply to messages and even send mass mailings to a specified set of recipients. All of these actions are performed through your Pocket PC, but controlled through an enhanced interface on your home or work PC. You can import contact information from your Pocket PC and you can export messages to a CSV or XML file. However, SMS Cool! does not allow you to export messages directly to Microsoft Outlook.

Our testbed for this experiment was a T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition running Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC. We started by sending over 200 SMS messages to our test phone, then we set up the software on our test PC and within a few minutes all of our phone’s SMS messages were accessible on our PC. The software worked quickly and perfectly.

If you regularly use your Pocket PC Phone Edition and its SMS features, then SMS Cool! is a handy application that will help you organize and keep track of all your SMS messages.
