For those who want a small, lightweight and easy to use MP3 player, the latest one from Auvi Technologies, the Auvi SA125 could be the answer.

The Auvi SA125 is one of many USB based MP3 players that allows easy connection to the computer and it comes with 128MB of memory. With this player, you can play MP3 and WMA music files, and also use it as a USB storage device. Unlike some of the similar USB based players, the SA125 has an LCD display, which although very small to read sometimes, shows all relevant track and player information. Another useful feature is the ability to play WMA DRM music files, not yet a popular feature in the other entry level players.

The buttons cover the bare essentials necessary to control the player. One button alone covers four different functions of power, pause, play, and stop, which can be very confusing initially, but quite useful once you get accustomed to it, because you don't have to fumble around to find the right button. The settings can easily be changed using the menu button which allows you to change the sound, access play and repeat mode, contrast, and language, packing some extra features for this small player.

The sound quality is very good, although the included ear buds could be a little more comfortable than they are. A small hook at one end of the player will allow you to hook the player on to your clothes, which can be especially useful for wearing when doing something active like running or snowboarding.

To copy your songs into the player you don't need to install any software on your computer. In fact, the USB connection to the computer allows for quick and easy drag and drop of files onto the player, with a fast transfer rate thanks to USB 2.0 support. Unwanted files can also be deleted from the player itself, allowing you to remove that tired old song without having to reconnect to the computer. The player runs on a single AAA battery, which is meant to run for about 15+ hours, but in our test lasted only about 12.

Overall this is a good entry level USB MP3 device, that's big on sound and portability, but could do better with a larger memory and longer battery life.
